Our self-employed HR consultant model operates very similar to a franchise opportunity, but without the large upfront initial sign-up fee that you find with other HR franchises. The opportunities through the consultant model are the same though and potentially better.

You will be working for an established HR brand, that has been built and developed over the last few years. The price structure for your services has already been set, which can be challenging when starting out. Everything is already tried and tested and 100% works.

As a Senior ForrestHR Consultant, you will be supporting businesses that require outsourced HR support. This support can range from providing start-up HR processes such as the implementation of employment contracts, employee handbooks, contractor agreements for self-employed workers and implementing HR software from our partners Breathe, to dealing with all day-to-day HR matters including specialist or contentious staff matters, redundancies and company restructures.

You will be responsible for growing your own client base in your agreed region (likely to be your residential area), but you will not be limited to set postcodes. Also, if you are connected to a prospective client that is situated in one of your HR colleague’s regions, you will not be required to hand that over or provide a “kickback” to that consultant.

You must be an experienced HR professional, that has been operating at generalist or business partner level for at least 8 years. It will be a bonus if you already have HR consultancy and/or freelance experience and have the mechanics in place to support a self-employed arrangement, including the relevant equipment needed (phone, laptop/pc, car etc).

As part of the role, you will need to join a reputable and successful referral marketing organisation ( close to your residential area, which has proven results for the Company already. You must have excellent communication skills with the ability and confidence to deal with other business professionals and discuss the HR services that you can offer. In addition, you will be provided with Company data on a weekly or monthly basis to assist you in growing your client base further.

Your pay structure is based on a percentage of the new business that you bring in. There is no maximum to the earning potential in this role, but equally there is no guaranteed minimum.

At ForrestHR, we are not trying to make money on consultants joining our award-winning team and therefore do not charge a large initial set-up fee, we do however have a very modest commitment fee that you are required to pay to get you up and running from day 1. There is also a monthly management fee that kicks in from month 4, after completing 3 full months.

In return, you will be provided with the following from day 1, so you can hit the ground running as a Senior ForrestHR Consultant:

  • Detailed induction with our HR Operations Manager to get you started, who will guide you through the “Forrest way” to follow up your leads and draft quotations and proposals to your prospective clients.

  • Business cards.

  • Hosted secure IT access to all our established pricing, quote and proposal templates.

  • Email account.

  • HR library with 1000’s of templates and guidance notes.

  • Client engagement forms and terms of business to provide your clients.

  • Invoicing process and some admin processes managed centrally, leaving you to focus on the delivery of your HR service.

  • 12 months membership with BNI.

  • Regular Company data for speculative enquiries.

  • Marketing, articles and other social media updates managed centrally.

  • Regular team catch ups with the other ForrestHR consultants in other regions.

  • Team WhatsApp group chat to raise questions, queries and provide your input.

  • Guidance on ensuring your LinkedIn profile is promoting you to the best it can from our social media team.

  • Access to employment lawyers when needed.

  • Employment law briefing once a quarter.

  • Holiday cover for your clients and BNI when required.
